Public Forum

We support creative and cultural expression highlighting pressing social issues by providing engaging experiences that inspire individual awareness and civic action.
The Public Forum is dedicated to exploring the meaning, experience, and future of American Democracy through the arts, letters, scientific inquiry and open dialogue about all of them.
We are committed to commissioning, cultivating, and supporting cultural expression that delves into the complex relationships between our perceived natural belonging to the familiar, apprehension towards the unknown, and overarching common humanity. We prioritize work that provides insight into how reconciling tension around disparate social identities and bonds, whether as catalysts or challenges to civil society, might foster our American democracy.
